We are delighted to announce that Chalgrove Cavaliers FC is the latest youth football club to be selected by Oxford United as part of their Partnership Programme. This tie-up will enable us to participate in match-day activities at the Kassam Stadium, as well as allowing us to benefit from coaching sessions by the United coaches (both for our players and our coaches) and possibly having Oxford players attending our events. This will help to raise the profile of our club which is always useful, especially when we are looking for new players; they plan to run features about us on their website, in their programme and in the Oxford Mail.

More on the Partnership programme will follow shortly, but I wanted to bring to your attention an important upcoming date to celebrate the start of our partnership. We have been invited to take part in a Club Day event at Oxford’s home match against Rotherham United on 17th March at the Kassam Stadium, where the players and the club will be presented to the crowd at half-time, and a presentation will be made by Oxford United to Chalgrove Cavaliers to formalise our agreement. Team photos of our players on the pitch will be taken to commemorate the day.

We would like to make this a major event for our football club, and would like to take as many people as possible to the game, including players from all age groups, coaches, parents/guardians, grandparents, siblings, etc. Special ticket prices have been arranged for the match (£13 adults, £4 Under 16s, free for Under 7s), and the club will allocate us a block of seats at the stadium, so we can all sit together.
